The Senior Interior Designer will manage projects, collaborate with design teams, vendors, and consultants. This role requires collaboration, proactivity, motivation, and a willingness to learn.
SALARY RANGE: $110,000-$130,000 *Wage may vary with experience, skills, or education
San Francisco, CA (not a remote role, travel required).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with architects and the design team for hotel projects.
Create and manage FF&E schedules using Design Spec Software.
Ensure contractor quality to maintain hotel standards.
Research materials for cost, quality, and functionality.
Build professional relationships and monitor hospitality trends.
Oversee project lifecycle including PIP and CAPEX projects.
Manage design schedules and deliverables.
Conduct site inspections, review contractor performance, and manage workflow.
Advise on bids, coordinate with procurement for budgeting and purchasing.
Write scopes and RFPs, and respond to RFIs.
Ensure specifications meet LEED requirements and regulatory codes.
Mentor team members and ensure timely communications.
SKILLS TO DEVELOP:
Develop construction plans, oversee bidding and contracting.
Approve design specifications and manage materials procurement.
Requirements
10-15+ years in design and space planning, Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Expertise in Revit, Sketchup, Auto CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, and hospitality design standards.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
