Poultry Supervisor

We are currently seeking a key Poultry Supervisor for a leading Arabian business based in Muscat, Oman.

Our client is a large multinational group and as part of their extensive holdings, they own and run a modern progressive mixed farm in country delivering the highest standard organic produce. They have a state-of-the-art livestock facility for their pedigree cows, milking goats, pedigree sheep, and poultry operations. Additionally, they operate a varied horticulture and fruit operation consisting of various fresh produce products and growing systems, all to the highest organic standards. Their planting areas are supported by their own growing apiary, and they operate a self-sustaining and growing operation. From their onsite accommodation, onsite laboratory, cold storage, and processing facilities, the farm is dynamic and continually evolving into operations all backed up by onsite training and staff support.

The successful candidate as Poultry Supervisor will be responsible for planning and the organisation of a key poultry unit for the business.

What Will the Role Involve:

• To ensure all biosecurity controls are in place and all of the associated record keeping.
• To be responsible for organizing all poultry tasks, collecting eggs for packing house and for incubator management and cleanliness with the inhouse team/s.
• Ensure all poultry are receiving the necessary and agreed amount of feed and water. Cleaning and disinfecting of poultry housing, equipment, and incubators / hatcheries to prevent disease, as per Company policy and instructions.
• Check daily for any disease or viruses and notify Veterinary if any concerns.
• Carry out and assist Veterinarian with vaccination and treatment programs as per company schedule.
• Strictly follow poultry biosecurity protocols as per Farm Procedures.

What We Want to See From You:

Poultry Science / Diploma, or 5 Years plus experience of supervising poultry operations
